Crannog Seafood Restaurant - Fort William
Situated in Fort William (home of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain), the gateway to the Western Highlands of Scotland, lies Crannog and with it a reputation for offering the best in Scottish seafood and highland hospitality.

Crannog was founded in the early 80's by local fisherman Finlay Finlayson. He established a smokehouse that was used to prepare the catches directly from his boats and was soon satisfying customers throughout the country, including leading London stores.

The idea of self-sufficiency was realised when he converted his bait store on Fort William town pier into his own restaurant. The name Crannog was chosen by Finlay to symbolise his concept of integrating catching, curing and cooking the finest west coast food. |
