Deep down in the middle of the Mediterranean, the people of Sardinia still enjoy the traditional home-cooked food that their grandmothers used to make. Here at Pepe Sale, in the heart of Reading, we aim to bring you some of those delicious, authentic flavours of Sardinia.<br />

Restaurant owner, Toni Sale, was brought up on this idyllic island and is delighted to have opened the very first Sardinian come Italian restaurant in the country.<br />

After being a finalist last year, this year we are proud to announce that we won the "Best Italian Food Restaurant in Great Britain 2000" awarded by the Pasta, Pizza and Italian Food Association of Great Britain". As it is only the second year we have been trading we thought it was a great achievement, and recognition of our efforts to establish " Pepe Sale" as one of the best restaurants in the area, providing top quality, well cooked,authentic Italian food, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
