We've been using Med Bar for many years now - Lee and Mimo serve consistently good, fresh, tasty food, with a take away service into the bargain. In our view, this is without doubt the best Italian and Med. Food in the area, and for some distance beyond. If you have an event to do food for - Don't forget the outside catering service, too!

Don't order from here. Took 1 and a half hours to arrive and when when it came the burger was cold and hard, the chips were soggy and the naan bread was the wrong one and my prawn curry was all watery. We rang up to complain and they said we can have a free burger if we go down there. I don't think so. Way over priced, no refund. Don't risk ordering from here!

Absolutely beautiful carvery. 3 home roasted meats and lots of veg choices, the gravy was to die for ! Everything is home cooked and you can tell ! Also brilliant menu's to choose from. Landlord is lovely...very welcoming. Would definately recommend you trying this place.

CHINA DYNASTY, BRAINTREE - seems to be going down hill, this was far the best Chinese in Braintree. However I went to the restaurant with family I have been raving about to, who live in the City. Oh what a night! As I was going to the toilet one of the female staff flew out of the door near the bar (which they dont normally use). In which sweet and sour sauce went all over my new dress, the girl never even apologised to me, not did the management offer to pay for the dry cleaning - although it was an accident would have expected at least apology! I did my best to clean it off, then sat down and eat my starters which were nice. However, when the main dishes came out, the sizzling beef (without the sizzling), the chicken curry, pac choi, sweet and sour pork was all cold in which we sent it back and asked for the bill. Not sure if the normal chef as left but was a total disgrace!

What a delightful surprise it was to find this absolute gem of a restaurant. Fantastic service and really stunningly memorable food. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is a total diamond in the rough. If you get the chance and you adore Thai food the way it is supposed to be cooked, please steal an evening and go to this lovely little restaurant. I will remember this meal for a long time to come.

Please avoid this place if you want good food and service,the staff are so slow the chef if you can call him this,you would be hard pushed to call him a cook walks round the restaurant while you wait ages for your food.the manager sue bishop refuse to serve our party coffee at 11.00am and said we don,t serve coffee before 12.00 so you,ll have to come back later but we can serve you alcohol at 11.00 am what when we are at a childrens party and driving this place what a joke
