Came to see my second tribute night in here meal+tribute night was on the menu unfortunatly all we got was a lovely meal both times and a complete rabble couldnt hear the acts over everyond talking spoilt my night esp the Adele tribute act from what i could hear the girl was fantastic but certainly wont be back for another tribute act .

THE VERY BEST Chinese restaurant for many miles around Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambs and Essex........is hidden away in the little town of Stowmarket. It is called Chinese Chequers and its rather original name sums up its original status of excellence. Some say it is "pricey". It is NOT. It just serves the GREATEST Chinese food , has a lovely owner and staff, wonderful service ( in restaurant and for takeaways), and a nice friendly atmosphere. Long may Chinese Chequers continue to grace Stowmarket's High Street.

First impression when you get throught the door - busy. Food portions are quite large, it appears to be all fried, microwaved or out of a vac pack. It's missing welcoming atmosphere. Not a place I would return to eat food again.

Have eaten at Emperors Court with family & friends for many years - fabulous food - very friendly staff - even had our daughters 21st birthday party there, which was absolutely stunning in all respects

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!! We have just suffered the most appauling service. From the moment we sat down, we were rushed through our meal. After specifically asking for a certain dish we were given something completely different. But to top it all off, when asking to speak to the manager after very politely asking one of the staff for an explanation as to the problem (I have to say only one of the staff knoew what they were doing), we were met with anger, rudness and an utter denial that there was any issue with our experience. The lady manager was rude to my wife, then failed to even give us the right change, when challenging her about this 'final straw', she check, said nothing, but simply 'slapped' the correct change onto the counter and said 'bye bye'. The management do not deserve to recieve custom, I repeat, DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!

Attended a funeral wake here. Bar in restaurant was closed at 6.30 as our allotted time was up. Tried to move through to main bar and was told they wouldn't serve us. The only reason given was that it is management policy not to allow funeral parties into the bar. This was despite some people in the party having just purchased drinks and not being given time to drink them before being asked to leave. Shocking and totally insensitive service.

We went to Dover Street Bar (8-10 Dover Street, London, W1S 4LQ) on Friday 17 Feb 2012. Our plan was some drinks and live music. According to their leaflets the entrance was free before 10pm. Well, it turned out it wasn’t. The bouncer insisted that the bar does not open until 10.15 (yeah, right) and that’s when they start charging for entry (so called ‘music cover’). A VERY RUDE bouncer would not let us in before 10pm because we were not call girls. Our dresses must have given us away. However, we shouldn’t have, but we still came back to the bar after 10.15pm, paid our entry and the same bouncer just kept harassing us at the reception area for no reason, we weren’t even talking to him. The same at the end of the night – we were leaving, collecting our coats and he was still harassing and even threatening us! He refused to give me his name and then he even covered up his number. The reception girls wouldn’t give me his name and quite frankly it appeared to me that he bullies them as well! A very disgusting individual. And we were not drunk or fighting or being noisy, we are just three rather modest ladies. As for the night, the band was supposed to play songs from 60’ to 90’, but you could hardly hear any familiar tunes. It wasn’t much different to what the DJ played after the band left and he had no clue whatsoever about what to play for the present clientele. The bar’s policy states ‘no trainers’, but I still spotted a guy in trainers, probably the bouncer’s friend, how else would he have missed it.
