My wife and I came over from the Isle of Wight today to do some shopping. We decided to try NV and were extremely impressed by the quality of the food and the wonderful service. Thank you. We shall return!

The original authentic italian, none of this modern ala carte fancy schmancy stuff, Tino and his family are brilliant as is the food, perfect italian amd large portions too, classic italian decor, highly recommended

Excellent Sit down and takeaway, The Chicken Jalfrezi is great and the Tikka massalla is very good also. The restaurant is clean with very good service, sometimes bordering on too helpful! well worth a visit!

A friend and I recently had the misfortune of choosing the Prince of India for meal whilst staying in Portree. I had my doubts when passing through the front door. It just doesn't look like an Indian resturant should look. Next came the beer. No large Cobras here people, small bottles of lager for only £3 per bottle. We ordered our meal and were not at all impressed with what arrived. The pakora batter was soggy and bright red. Microwave job and plenty of food colouring to give the authentic "spicey" look methinks. The main courses were a joke. The rice was equivalent to about 3 table spoons and the main dish consisted of not much more both in the way of meat and sauce. The meat, yes the meat! I found 6 small pieces of "meat" at around 1.5cm square. I had ordered lamb, so you can imagine my surprise when I cut through a piece and discovered that it was white. Now, maybe it's just me, but I've never seen a piece of WHITE lamb in my lifetime, and before anyone asks, I've been around for quite some time. I cut through the rest of the "meat" and some of it looked like real lamb should look. However I would estimate that at least 50% of it was WHITE. MAYBE THEY GOT THE LAMB AND THE CHICKEN MIXED UP IN THE KITCHEN? The waiter reassured me that it was indeed white lamb. So her is the summary .......... 1 starter (soggy batter cooked reheat in microwave) 2 main courses (adequate sauce but very small portion of lamb and chicken) 1 nan (very small) 1 rice (very small) 3 chapati's (very small) 1 beer (just small) 1 soft drink (no problem here) The bill was pennies off £40. I don't know why, but I left that place with the feeling that my wallet had just been dipped. The Skye Guide (The independent guide to the Isle of Skye) states that the Prince of India isn't cheap, and they don't accept credit, or debit, cards. Why is that? I wonder.

Baci, an Italian Restaurant run by Chinese Management. The Food is OK but the food is way over priced for the quality that you get. The service is good. But locally there are better Italian restaurant owned by Itailians. Toto's is the best and its only 1 mile from Baci. Go there instead.

I had ordered a take-away thinking the food would be nice and quick. To my dismay I had to wait for an hour and thirty minutes, on top of the fact I waited I actually cancelled my order over the phone as when I called after almost an hour it had only just been put on to cook, the delivery guy also turned up at the door after cancelling the order. They asked me for my card details as I said I would like to pay by card when ordering. They also took the whole amount off of my account, not impressed with anything done at china kingdom.

Excellent restaurant and great theme. Amazing food and great service, Well priced for a buffet!! I would highly reccomend this restaurant. It's a great meal and the restaurants design gives you a wonderful buzz, It's very authentic and well priced. I cannot stress enough how great this restuarant is.

Best food I have had on the isle of wight, outstanding steak, tomatoes full of flavour and fresh delicious bread, my family and I will certainly eat there again.
