I came across the take away from the Prince Of India restaurant at a friends home and decided to give it a try. There are some business you go to and you are treated as if they can do without your patronage - the Prince of India is different. A waiter opens the door when you arrive and when you leave , they walk you to the door carrying your order for you - would be nice if they could also drive me home - they probably would! They are very polite over there! Back home I was impressed with my take away , generous portions. I ordered a kima fried rice and a chicken pathia. Immediatey I opened the pack , I caught a strong aroma filled my nostrils , Iknew I was in for a treat- the chicken was tender and spicy ! Next time I go, Ill eat in.If they treat take outs so well , then what about eat in customers

Went to Shabaaz last week with my wife, we have been on several occasions and have always had a nice meal, they have recently had an extension on the back which made the restaurant more spacious, the rogan josh was great.

Ignore the negative reviews â GO see the Prince of India
I saw the negative reviews about the prince of India and went to see for myself. It is nowhere as bad as some make it to be.The staff are really polite and at your service.
The food is wonderful;, I ordered a chicken tikka starter which was served with a delicious mint sauce. My main meal was their specialty Balti chilli garlic massala which did not take time to come.I ate while being serenaded by beautiful Indian music playing in the background.Truly wonderful.Ill be more cautious of restaurant reviews and go see for myself.

Hi,
Ive been to the Prince of India and I have to respond to the review posted by Dr M Islam and Gaun Yersel. In the first pla ce , the prince of India has an ambience that would make any patron happy.
From what Gaun wrote you would think he went to a cave to eat, nothing could be further from the truth - I find the restau rant clean and cosy.
The food is above average - execellent to be precise and realistically , spending £65 on prawns for 4 people eating in is NOT expensive . Especially when you add starters - if any - drinks and desert.
In summary , the Prince of India is an excellent place to eat, offering good food from an excellent menu and yes, they accept card payments.
Id recommend it to anyone.

We visited here on 18/01/2011
This place is an undiscovered gem.
Cant believe this has been on our door step for the past 5 years & never been here.
Frank (Owner) is a top bloke, was in here for my sisters 25th birthday & he made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door.
He really could not do enough for us & had a really lovely meal (There was good portion sizes) & prices are very reasonable/
Cant wait to go back.
Thank you Frank & staff for a lovely night
